My Teaching Techniques & Methods I combine traditional yoga practices (asana, pranayama, meditation) with modern teaching approaches to suit different learning levels. Focus on alignment, breathing, and mindfulness, ensuring students build strength, flexibility, and inner calm. Use a step-by-step approach so even beginners feel comfortable and confident. Encourage awareness and self-connection, not just physical exercise. The Usual Structure of a Class Centering & Breathing (5–10 min) – Gentle breath awareness and grounding. Warm-Up (10 min) – Light stretches to prepare the body. Asana Practice (25–30 min) – A balanced sequence of yoga postures, from basic to advanced depending on the level. Pranayama (5–10 min) – Breathing techniques to energize or relax the mind. Relaxation & Meditation (5–10 min) – Guided relaxation or mindfulness practice. Closing (2–3 min) – Reflection, gratitude, and takeaway for daily life.
