About Emily
I am studying Chemistry at Oxford University after receiving 11A*s in GCSE and 4A* at A-Level (Biology, Chemistry, Maths and Spanish). At University I have received first class grades in each year as well as four academic scholarships. I have already been tutoring GCSE students for 4 years and have had success with students achieving up to 3 grades higher in the real exams than was predicted for the real exam.
Having gone through the oxford application process myself I know exactly what tutors want to see in your personal statement and hear in your interviews so I can help you along each step of the way ! I can also connect you with oxford students from the college of your choice. I have already mentored 2 students through successful applications and given many practice interviews ! I know oxford applications seem scary, but they don't have to be so send me a message if you are interested !

I give classes to all students up to A-Level. I ask students what topic they would like to cover and always aim to establish an in depth understanding of the topic before moving on to difficult questions, making sure they can apply their knowledge to a variety of questions ! I also encourage all my tutees to message me throughout the week if they have any academic questions that can't wait until their lesson.
For oxford interviews I will start by recommending texts to read and helping you to be able to discuss your subject in a broader way outside of your A-level specification ! Then we can build your personal statement, start walking through interview questions together, then do mock interviews with personalised feedback.
