I give lessons to grade 10 to grade 12 learners in South Africa. I offer the CAPS syllabus in both Mathematics and the Physical Sciences. My approach to teaching follows the Constructivist Methodology which is based on the premise that learners construct their own knowledge and the role of the teacher is to facilitate learning.
I use various teaching methods depending on the type of student and what relates best to them. For example, when teaching science, learner's are more susceptible to learn by seeing and so experiments help with understanding of content.
My teaching approach recognizes that learning occurs in the social context of classroom. As such knowledge is co-constructed through students’ interaction with each other and I assume the role of a facilitator. I use a discussion tool on a learning management system (e.g., Blackboard) to continue with the facilitation of discussion of the lesson and this also accommodates shy students.
My teaching method is baseline foundation first which will give me an idea of the current knowledge of how my learners understand the subject at hand. I target grade 3-9 learners and base my lesson on strictly what they have learned in class.
I first check with learners what they really struggle with and start teaching them basics which they will need through out the subject. And work on the individual abilities and improve them where they lacking also giving them support that will build confidence and love for the challenging subjects.
My teaching method is based on how the learners learn, if they learn through movement I try and incorporate games to help them remember concepts. I created dances and songs to get stuck into their heads to use during tests and exams. I prepare each lesson by going through what the learners need to learn, how they learn and create worksheets to coincide with this.
i help student understand the topics they are struggling with by also involving maths on their daily life make examples with the surrounding so that the student to see the beauty of mathematics
My teaching methodology is based on learning with understanding combining Contructivist and Sociocultural Theories where my learners build the new knowladge from what they previously knew. I trigger them to unleash their inherited talents and learn from their own view-point.
My teaching method is the engagement of the classroom. I like to base my lessons on real life situation to help the learners to understand quickly. I also prefer a class where students freely express themselves .
I normally work with question and answer strategy whereby students come with their challenging questions to me then I will look for the best possible explanation that suits the student's understanding.
I teach students by explaining concepts slowly and ensuring during the explanation that they are following me.
I specialize in Gr 4-0 Mathematics. I respect students as individuals through creating engaging lessons with the aim to facilitate learning by questioning and answering, to transfer information in a way to demonstrate the mastering of knowledge learned.
My teaching method varies from subjects. I love dong examples with kids, giving extra contents to them which can only help themselves in tests and exams. I love doing small "tests" with students, doing explanations in different kinds of ways, whichever method is best understandable for the student.
I personally work on the problems before lessons with my students and explore the possible mistakes they can make and the answers thereof. I also personalized my teaching according to students' ability to understand the concept. I believe students/ learners have different methods of learning.
I approach each topic with an open mind and find different ways to teach, depending on what works best for my students.
Making maths and science fun, showing their applications in everyday life, demonstrating technical concepts outside the books, my methods have been successful during my teaching career, students were very happy with the outcome. Now they use it themselves as teachers.
I used one on one method, classroom set up,also i use online classes to students from matric through to university. With statistics i take students through to Masters level.
First I have to familiarize myself with the learners background in the specific section of the subject. If there is a lack of previous knowledge, it is not wise to continue before some intervention takes place by strengthening the background knowledge.
I base my lessons on where the student struggles most, approaching each topic in hopes to build the learner's confidence towards the subject content. It is also important to acknowledge the learner's strongest academic aspects. I have sufficient resource materials to provide the learner, including study notes and past papers to practice.
A hard working and humble teacher with the ability to tell a student the level of knowledge of the subject he has in the first lesson and devising ways to quickly improve on all knowledge gaps. The lesson is not an ' I talk and you listen' way of learning but a two-way discussion with more focus on a lot of examples to make sure the student understands the concepts very well.
Explaining the topic, making video analysis, referring to a powerpoint presentation, using past examination papers, Making Baseline Assessment, allowing answer question sessions. Monitor time management and tracking of concentration span in the teaching and learning process. Give critical Feedback.
My teaching method differs from student to student. I start to teach after I analyse his/her past reports and the assessments. My strongest strength is patience. I give them an in-depth understanding of maths. I motivate students to try challenging problems.
My approach is to first Identify the area where the student is struggling, then try understand any barrier as to why the student is not excelling through that topic then we set up goals to achieve .
Contingency approach to every student. Every student's needs are different depending on their areas of strength and weaknesses, understanding this helps in modelling the most efficient teaching methodology and produces significantly better results as compared to a blanket approach.
My objective as a teacher/tutor is to encourage and challenge my students to live up to their prospects, influence my students to be critical thinkers and develop their own problem-solving ability. My goal is to ensure that the students understand the principles behind every topic.
All lessons in the comfort of your home, library or any preferred comfortable place. Work one on one to develop your own study plan in order for you to achieve your goals according to your curriculum. Encourage critical thinking and ensure that the students' knowledge is challenged and probed. Go an extra mile by assisting learners and students with personal goals.
With understanding in various approaches from various curriculum guide, I adopt simplified approach with practical guide to assist students have better understanding. My key tool is motivation with clear communication with a bit of counselling to wage off negativity as a result of psychological negative impact (knowing that: "if you don't like it, you will find it difficult to understand it").
I evaluate the understanding of the learner and the pace of learning first before I can select which method to use.If the learner if a fast learner,I explain the concept briefly and we discuss problems and develop the shortest and convenient way of answering the question.
My lessons are section-specific where a student approaches me with a section or concept they don't quite understand and I find easy-to-remember tips and hints which a student can apply to improve their grades. I work in alignment with individual curricula and encourage students to practice learned concepts as much as possible.
My Teaching method is based on Demonstration method, Textbook/ Handbook Method, Group work method, and Discovery Method. My classes base on day classes, and evening classes, which includes week days and Saturday classes. These includes, but not limited to: Monitoring Learners work, and Assessing the learners based on the work they have covered.
