I give lessons to grade 10 to grade 12 learners in South Africa. I offer the CAPS syllabus in both Mathematics and the Physical Sciences. My approach to teaching follows the Constructivist Methodology which is based on the premise that learners construct their own knowledge and the role of the teacher is to facilitate learning.
My teaching approach recognizes that learning occurs in the social context of classroom. As such knowledge is co-constructed through students’ interaction with each other and I assume the role of a facilitator. I use a discussion tool on a learning management system (e.g., Blackboard) to continue with the facilitation of discussion of the lesson and this also accommodates shy students.
My teaching method is baseline foundation first which will give me an idea of the current knowledge of how my learners understand the subject at hand. I target grade 3-9 learners and base my lesson on strictly what they have learned in class.
My teaching methodology is based on learning with understanding combining Contructivist and Sociocultural Theories where my learners build the new knowladge from what they previously knew. I trigger them to unleash their inherited talents and learn from their own view-point.
I specialize in Gr 4-0 Mathematics. I respect students as individuals through creating engaging lessons with the aim to facilitate learning by questioning and answering, to transfer information in a way to demonstrate the mastering of knowledge learned.
A hard working and humble teacher with the ability to tell a student the level of knowledge of the subject he has in the first lesson and devising ways to quickly improve on all knowledge gaps. The lesson is not an ' I talk and you listen' way of learning but a two-way discussion with more focus on a lot of examples to make sure the student understands the concepts very well.
My teaching method differs from student to student. I start to teach after I analyse his/her past reports and the assessments. My strongest strength is patience. I give them an in-depth understanding of maths. I motivate students to try challenging problems.
Contingency approach to every student. Every student's needs are different depending on their areas of strength and weaknesses, understanding this helps in modelling the most efficient teaching methodology and produces significantly better results as compared to a blanket approach.
My objective as a teacher/tutor is to encourage and challenge my students to live up to their prospects, influence my students to be critical thinkers and develop their own problem-solving ability. My goal is to ensure that the students understand the principles behind every topic.
All lessons in the comfort of your home, library or any preferred comfortable place. Work one on one to develop your own study plan in order for you to achieve your goals according to your curriculum. Encourage critical thinking and ensure that the students' knowledge is challenged and probed. Go an extra mile by assisting learners and students with personal goals.
With understanding in various approaches from various curriculum guide, I adopt simplified approach with practical guide to assist students have better understanding. My key tool is motivation with clear communication with a bit of counselling to wage off negativity as a result of psychological negative impact (knowing that: "if you don't like it, you will find it difficult to understand it").
My lessons are section-specific where a student approaches me with a section or concept they don't quite understand and I find easy-to-remember tips and hints which a student can apply to improve their grades. I work in alignment with individual curricula and encourage students to practice learned concepts as much as possible.
I choose the correct method for the student, while doing my best that there is understanding in either the mistakes that are made, be it working too fast or not structured enough. My main goal is to make sure that the concept of the lesson is taught and brought forward in a clear manner.
I base my teaching method on the level of understanding of each child, also their individual personality. I like to get to know my learners on a personal level as well and build relationships with them. I also like to push them a little further and challenge them.
My teaching methodology is I am more focused on what students are struggling and what they need to learn. I attract the students' attention and make my lessons more interesting so that students feel comfortable with me.
-I am a friendly university student studying BCom Accounting CA and I have a history of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. -I use a Student-Centered method of tutoring which each student’s interests, abilities and learning style in which studies show that usage of this method have developed greater skills for independent problem solving, critical thinking and reflective thinking.
I believe in working a lots of exams and test questions to get trends and to be more prepared. I go from easy questions to more challenging ones and spend time explaining complex things. I hope I can make maths fun for you as it was for me.
My focus area is High School Mathematics. I like to structure and adapt my lessons /sessions according to each student as each person is unique in the way that they learn. I like to go through the content of the work with my students, make sure they have a good basic understanding of the work we are going through and then work through a few questions together.
My aim is to pass on vital knowledge to learners that will help them not only understand mathematics, but also to enjoy it. I believe it is very important to build a solid foundation when it comes to mathematics and I recommend that students start early in the year.
I would like to sit with the student and identify their weak areas, needs and goals. Then come up with a plan of how many sessions and the amount of practice they will need. I emphasize practice to learn the skills and build confidence.
My principle is that every student carries a potential to be great in their academics but it takes a patient and understanding tutor to get the student to that level of greatness, the way i structure the lessons is in such a way that the student learns the convenient methods to any problem and how it relates to the content being taught in class.
I explain the content to learners first then start giving learners class work and home work everyday of a tutoring session. i give lessons to learners from grade 6 to 12. I do go through the common past national maths papers with learners to get them ready for the common exams MR DANIEL ADDICO.
I hold BEd in Mathematics Education and well organized in every aspect I believe in student centered education I do not monopolize the class I trust myself on bridging the gap of students who are struggling with a certain topic of a subject matter
My teaching method may vary from student to student. I do a small evaluation test before the first lesson to gauge any indication of strengths and weaknesses. I found that students sometimes just don't test well even though they know their work, so I focus on getting the student test ready over and above understanding the content. I focus on basics, because sometimes that is lacking the most.
I am a management student and i give lessons basically to high school and college students. My students can ask any questions that they have problems with an i can assist them with and even during exam time i assist them with studying.
The method to me is only the approach to the issues at end. A bad student could be one who suffers from self esteem around his classmates... So, my focus is to assess on the student's deficiency and fix it.
I approach each and every topic by firstly analysing what is being asked first and identify given options and make sure i come up with different ways to attack until i reach to a final step which all students will know it
Since January 2015, I have been a Teacher Assistant and Maths Tutor and Maths substitute teacher at the school. So I have the experience, enthusiasm, and a very positive person. I believe in the power of instruction. Give them a chance and the students will surprise both you and themselves but first: you have got to listen to their life stories.
My experience has equipped me for working with children of different ages as well as adolescents and adults. In my practice, I create a space for my clients to feel heard. I believe that when we listen and provide the space to develop a voice and discover strengths, you are free to be the best version of themselves.
I teach topics that may be giving students a problem and tackle the questions and also provide the better ways to do better in chemistry .
