I would describe myself as passionate, hard-working and patient. Three traits that in my understanding enabled me to help my students achieved their goals. Typically, I start which a series of exercises on the topics to help me evaluate the difficulties of the student(s). Afterwards, I discuss with them on those difficulties and how or why they would like to overcome them.
Making maths and science fun, showing their applications in everyday life, demonstrating technical concepts outside the books, my methods have been successful during my teaching career, students were very happy with the outcome. Now they use it themselves as teachers.
I base my teaching method on having a solid foundation knowing the specific rules for each topic whilst learning it through continuous problem solving, often taught by doing the problem myself so the method is understood. Emphasis is placed on area's of struggle.

I have different methods for each subject. For Natural Science I prefer to teach kids to understand the work instead of just memorization, though Natural Science is a lot of memorization work. For Mathematics, I will teach kids methods on how to solve problems themselves.

When I teach I always start from basics. Having a good grasp of basics basics help build better understanding on complex topics. I also teach by working through examples since the best way is to apply what you have learnt.

Being an education student, I have learned various teaching methods to use with in a classroom. However I feel that the interactive teaching method usually works best with children, because there are countless ways to check for a learner’s understanding. I prefer being more practical and hands on, so engaging with a student is really important.
I like to repeat myself to explain a single concept and then ask the students after I think they are ready to repeat and explain back to me to try and see if they understand the work. You can only assess whether a person truly understands the work by seeing if the can explain the work to me.
I believe in understanding through practice and teaching. My students should be able to teach me the topics they once struggled with. That will only be possible if they are able to apply the skills we practice to unseen materials like a past paper they haven't done or challenges I engineer for them.

My strategy for teaching maths is to make it fun for both me and the student to allow a positive, productive and happy teaching and learning environment. My Level 5 TEFL qualification included modules such as teaching methods and lesson planning. I do classes the conventional manner with some fun twists to make it enjoyable as well. I believe that interactive lessons are key to better results.

I believe that it becomes easy to learn when you are enjoying yourself. I make my lessons as enjoyable as possible as I also approach one problem in different ways as students react differently to stimuli. Students receive an overview of the topic, what to look for, how to tackle questions and get them right. This is before I do the testing of their knowledge.
My teaching method is to always outline the basics first, introduce the new work. Show examples on how to practise the work. Then for class interaction, ask a few questions on the theory and ask the class to practise examples and then discuss the answers and how each of them approached the question. Lastly, give them time to practise on their own in class and some homework examples.

Usually when I can, I come up with real life examples where possible to make it easier to understand. I ensure students ask questions before we move on.
