About Venus
Before attending Clemson University, I graduated from the South Carolina Governor's School for Science and Mathematics (GSSM), earning a high school and a unique Governor's School diploma. At GSSM, I took college-level classes as a junior and senior in high school, building problem-solving and time management skills. I took specialized courses in strategies for achieving academic success and maintaining balance in school, work, and social life.
At Clemson, I study chemical engineering. Being an engineer means being able to solve problems efficiently and effectively, and I strive to help others solve problems in the same way. Some of my teaching methods are from engineering classes I've taken at Clemson, which further allows my students to see different methods of solving the same problem.

My tutoring sessions are for anyone struggling in math classes before calc 3 and chemistry/science classes before organic chemistry. This could include elementary to undergraduate levels of school.
A typical lesson can change depending on the needs of the student. We can go over practice problems in class or I can reteach the lesson in a different way that's easier to understand.
Something I love about teaching is seeing the different ways different brains work. I develop different teaching algorithms for different ways of thinking, and that's how I'm able to teach students in a way that makes sense to them. My favorite thing about teaching is seeing the moment a concept clicks for someone. It's a privilege to help people understand science and math and how cool those subjects are!
