About Jessica
My name is Jess, I am a current university student working towards earning my Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering! I performed very highly in high school, earning two performing arts certificates, a leadership award, making the Honor Roll and Ontario scholar, as well as earning a Service award for extensive community involvement. All of this while being the lead of the yearbook design team, playing three sports and captaining two teams. I’ve always had a passion for learning and I love helping others which is what got me into tutoring in 11th grade. Students I’ve worked with in the past enjoyed how energetic and approachable I am, and how I incorporate this into lessons to make difficult concepts less frightening. I am hard working and very determined. I have experience tutoring students in elementary and middle school subjects, as well as all grade 9 and 10 courses, grade 11 Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Functions, and English, and grade 12 Chemistry, Advanced Functions, Calculus and Vectors, and English.

With four years of tutoring experience, I can assist with courses up to and including the Grade 12 University level. I combine various approaches with memorization and learning techniques to find the one that works for you! A typical lesson varies by subject, and can include relating concepts to the real world to help comprehension, step by step problems and practice questions, and taking various approaches to confusing or difficult topics! In the past, I have tutored elementary, middle, and high school students. For high school students, I can help with classes up to and including University Level Physics, Chemistry, Calculus & Vectors, Data Management, and Advanced Functions.

Perfect! Jessica worked with my daughter who said she is a very friendly and energetic tutor who clearly loves teaching. Jessica simplified the complex teachings of my daughter's teacher and made her feel confident in the current lessons in science. We will be continuing for the rest of the semester with her.
