About Austin

I have been in classes where I’m the smart student and understand everything. I have also been in classes where I feel absolutely lost. Both experiences give me a unique perspective on learning. It is so much fun when you understand what is being taught and you might even develop a passion for a subject you understand deeply. This is what I aspire to achieve. It is easy to stop caring when you don’t understand a subject and that is where I come in to help you understand and reignite the passion for learning.

About the lesson

My approach is to first observe the student’s learning style.

Second find the disconnect between the material and the student’s understanding. And come up with a plan/exercises that I think would benefit them.

Third I prefer to have the student explain to me what they know and fill in the gaps in their knowledge with an inquiry-based approach. Students learn better when they are the one doing the work and not just watching others do
