About Jett

I’m a singing tutor with over 7 years of experience and a Bachelor of Arts in Music with a focus on voice. I provide personalized lessons tailored to students of all levels—from school-age beginners to college students and adult professionals. My teaching covers a variety of styles including classical, pop, movie soundtracks, and folk music. I focus on strengthening ear training, harmony, improvisation, and music theory to build a well-rounded skill set. One of my core strengths is helping students develop vocal confidence through safe, healthy techniques. I believe every voice is unique and deserves nurturing to find its full potential. My lessons are interactive and supportive, designed to engage and inspire. Whether you want to perform on stage or sing for your own enjoyment, I adapt to your goals and pace. I emphasize the importance of musical expression alongside technical skills, encouraging creativity and emotional connection. We explore different genres and improvisation to keep learning fresh and exciting. I’m passionate about creating a positive, inspiring environment where students feel comfortable taking risks and growing. If you’re ready to begin or continue your musical journey, I’d love to help you find your voice and enjoy the art of singing. Together, we’ll build a strong foundation and have fun along the way. Let’s make music that speaks to the heart.

About the lesson

My singing lessons focus on developing strong music literacy and sight-singing skills through steady, guided practice. We begin with notation reading to build a solid understanding of musical symbols and rhythms. Interval training helps sharpen the ear and improve pitch accuracy, while rhythm exercises strengthen timing and flow. Harmony building is also key, allowing singers to blend confidently in groups and explore richer sounds.

For those experienced in orchestral singing, this approach reinforces sight-reading and deepens musical interpretation. Singers crossing genres benefit from learning flexible techniques that adapt to various styles. Both types of students grow by connecting their ear, mind, and voice—training the brain to anticipate and respond quickly to musical cues.

I incorporate helpful tools like sight-singing apps, rhythm trainers, and digital notation programs. These resources make practice engaging and efficient. The lessons remain accessible and encouraging, with progress marked by consistent effort. With time, students gain confidence reading music on sight and performing with precision. This method prepares singers for both ensemble and solo success. It’s a rewarding journey of musical growth and discovery.
