About Donovan
Hi my name is Donovan! I’m a junior at The Chatham School of Science and Engineering (an early college high school in Siler City) and I am looking for students who need a STEM tutor (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math). I have helped students from the time I was in middle school, up through completing college Calculus and Chemistry this past semester. I’m happy to tutor students in sixth grade up into high school. I can do in person meetings or use resources such as zoom for online session settings.

My process always starts out with the first lesson as an assessment of skill to determine the most effective starting point from which to advance. From there I create a custom path to help the student most effectively conquer their weaknesses and engage their strengths. Each day we meet we will cover a comfortable amount of material at a pace that suits the student best.
While instruction is an important part of the learning process, I believe in also having the student explore the subject on their own, to learn about the mechanisms behind what they're being taught. This allows students to form connections that will help them to better understand why certain concepts work, and will allow them to be more confident in future math & science courses.

The rate for tutoring services ranges from fifteen dollars per hour to thirty five dollars per hour.
The factors that affect the price include but are not limited to: session setting, subject complexity, meeting frequency, travel distance, and payment frequency.
