About James
James Chapman - Bio
I am an active professional drummer from the UK working as both a studio and live session musician.
In addition to my playing work, I have been teaching privately for over 15 years now and have students at all levels from absolute beginners, all the way up to other drum teachers and working drummers. I tailor the lessons to suit the individual and cover all areas of technique, concepts, musicianship and sight reading.
My lessons are held in my private, air conditioned studio in Canterbury. We work at your rate and I also jump on guitar and play along in order to help you learn to play with other musicians. With the lessons being held in my studio, I am also fully set up to offer professional standard recordings. This is something that we can do as an education exercise, as well as helping more advanced students record their band etc.
Lessons are also available over Skype with a multi camera setup as well as professional standard audio over studio microphones.
