About Laura
I am a previous Headteacher with over 14 years of tutoring experience in both the private and state sectors. Having worked in every year group from reception up to 6 and tutored primarily at secondary level! I have huge experience of teaching common entrance and 11 plus with great success rates. I LIKE children and I understand when they find it challenging to learn which I think contributes to my success.

My teaching method is based on closely tailoring work to the needs of the individual pupil and also to the requirements of the course they are following. I do not believe that "off the peg" courses work for young people, as they all have different ways of learning; strengths and weakness; and personalities, which contribute to how they best learn.

We knew Laura as head of my daughter’s school a few years ago. I learnt that she did tutoring on the side. As my daughter had some struggles with learning, we thought 1-1 teaching would be beneficial to try. Laura worked wonders, was friendly, professional, understanding, encouraging and really helped build my daughter’s confidence and learning. Laura also had a few sessions with my AuDHD son and really took the time to adapt learning to suit him with a ton of patience thrown in. Would 100% recommend to anyone.
Laura taught my daughter literacy from her home in Crowborough. She was a calm and patient tutor who has experience of children with identified needs such as ASD and ADHD. Very happy with the progress that my daughter has made, it makes such a difference when the tutor understands your child. Laura is amazing
