About Audrey
As a premed student at the University of Washington, I understand the difficulties that come along with chemistry. I have just mastered the rigorous general chemistry sequence at my university. Because I am often applying these core principles of chemistry to higher-level sciences and to my medical school preparation, I understand the exact concepts that trip students up. My goal as a tutor is to not just help students memorize the patterns and formulas of chemistry but to teach them how to apply these concepts to real life, scientific situations. I have been through the exact same frustrations as my students, so I hope to help them understand chemistry in a stress free and engaging way.

Hello my name is Audrey! My lessons are for students who may be struggling with middle or high school level chemistry. I am happy to help out in person or through an online meeting platform! Lessons will be based around whatever the student needs help with. Typically a lesson would start with a 5-10 minute warmup where we can go over what we learned in the previous lesson or any questions. Then I like to teach the material with notes and slideshows. After the lesson I like to practice with the student and guide them through questions and then have the student practice a few problems on their own to check through their understanding on the material. Chemistry can be a stressful subject so I like to make sure my lessons are flexible and tailored to the students needs, ensuring I am helping them in a way that works best for them!
