About Giea
I'm a percussionist who's been practicing music for 8 years! I have performed in a wide variety of musical settings from orchestra to jazz, marching to chamber, alongside a ton of solo performances. Additionally, I have taught many of my friends and family the fundamentals of playing percussion instruments, and I want to share my talents with others who are interested. Give my course a try! This course is targeted for people with little to no experience when it comes to playing percussion instruments. We'll start with how to set up a snare drum, how to hold sticks, how to strike the drum, and from then on I'll determine the pacing depending on each student. It's best to own a pair of sticks and a practice pad/snare drum for this course. What's special about this course is I will be extremely lenient when it comes to the pieces you learn. If you don't want to learn standard literature and would rather learn another song, I'm willing to research that song and teach it to you! Additionally, I'm always looking for ways to improve, so any feedback will be considered.
