About Afreen
I am a 4th year Medical student with two years of tutoring experience in maths, biology and chemistry. I have tutored students in various stages of education, ranging from KS1 to GCSE. I have worked with my students to help them achieve up to 2 grades higher than their predicted grades in their mock exams and then their GCSEs by incorporating different methods into my teaching to further their learning through the use of diagrams, mnemonics to aid memorisation of key facts and processes and my hand written notes, followed by exam questions to test your understanding and track your progress effectively. Being the first year of students to sit the current 9-1 GCSE grading system, I am fully aware of the changes to the curriculum from the previous A*-U grades. My GCSE results of note: Maths, 9 Biology, 8 Chemistry, 8 I sat my A levels in Maths (A*) Biology (A) and Chemistry (A)

Each of my teaching sessions are tailored to meet your needs. I approach each topic with a short set of questions, approximately five or six, depending on the topic, each varied in levels of difficulty. This allows me to identify what part of the topic you are struggling with and hence we can move forward with the lesson from where you (the student) require assistance. The session will comprise of explanations, diagrams, my tips and tricks to help you gain a better understanding of the topic and problems that we will solve together. To then consolidate your learning at the end of the session, you will then, independently, answer questions at that level or more.

Afreen came to tutor my little sister who was in year 7, as per our experience Afreen has been a very friendly and inspiring tutor. She would not just teach but also interact and discuss the work with my younger sister from her school.
Few months later we started to get good feedback from my sister's school teacher and also she her performance improved at school .
