About Amir
I studied Year 12 at Marryatville High School, having taken Chemistry, Biology, Mathematical Methods and English Literary Studies; while also in a school choir and a school ensemble. Grades achieved for school components of aforementioned subjects:
Chemistry - A
Biology - A++ (Merit)
Mathematical Methods - A+
English Literary Studies - A++ (Merit)
Which led to a base ATAR of 98.60 and an adjusted ATAR of 99.95. Currently I am enrolled in the University of Tasmania's Bachelor of Medical Science, Doctor of Medicine program.
As for hobbies, I enjoy writing and reading, I'm pretty big on history, I love music (I play the violin), painting and embroidery, and I also like to volunteer when I can.

Above all else, I truly enjoy tutoring, especially when my tutee wants to learn.
I have been helping peers both professionally and at no cost since primary school and I have proven myself to be a very versatile teacher, capable of changing my approach when it's not working.
Most importantly, I work with people I tutor to ensure they receive the learning they want and the way they want it. This can be through activities, auditory learning, visual learning, hands-on learning, show-and-practice, or whatever works for you.
Also, learning should never be all work and no play. Brain breaks are the stuff of which success is made!
I am also able to teach less conventional knowledge, such as that regarding current affairs, philosophical concepts, social theories (such as feminism, critical race theory, etc.) and other humanities-related concepts which are largely not taught at school.

Amir is kind, passionate and great at proofreading assignments and essays. He always has a trick or two up his sleeves to improve your writing or reduce your word count. To top it off, he has many great reading recommendations :)
