About Isabel
I am a middle school math teacher in the middle of her third year teaching. I do work mainly with middle school students in my daily job, but I would be excited to work with students in high school and beyond. In the past, I have also worked as a literacy tutor and tutored students to develop stronger reading skills as well.

I approach each topic by first trying to gather information on what my students' familiarity with the topic is so as to not confuse them. From there, I try to reinforce the strategies they have learned in class or previously as well as introduce other strategies that may make sense to them. After introducing the topic, I work to use a variety of formative assessments to measure how much a student has retained from the lesson.
