About Alex

I began playing the violin when I was 10 and continued throughout high school completing year 12 music. I have a working knowledge of music theory and play the violin for fun now. Although I studied classical music, I am wanting to become proficient in contemporary music as well

About the lesson

I like to establish a solid foundation with students and work from there. I have come across students who are adept, however, they can lack the knowledge of a basic concept and that can have a big impact on their understanding

Jack

I had Alex mentor me through year 12 and university engineering maths. He was very calm and clear and i learnt a lot from him. He has a great way of explaining how things work in a broader context which gave me a strong understanding of the concepts and I could then apply that easily to specific problems. He was a great teacher and would highly recommend him.
