Activate the Student Pass to contact tutors

When you have chosen a tutor and composed your lesson request, you will be asked to sign up for a Student Pass.

What exactly is the Student Pass?

  • It is the key to full access to the Superprof platform

  • It allows you to contact any of the tutors registered on Superprof

  • It gives you access to lessons in thousands of different subjects

The Student Pass fee represents our service fee for connecting students with tutors. Your fee helps us to continue to improve the Superprof experience, to provide hands-on support, and to maintain and enhance the functionalities of the website.

You can pay for the Student Pass using a debit card or credit card, or by making a bank transfer/EFT.

The Student Pass is not a subscription. You pay an upfront fee which gives you full access to all our tutors for 30 days. Your Student Pass is not automatically renewed when the 30-day period expires.

If no tutor accepts your lesson request, the Student Pass fee will be refunded to you.

The Student Pass fee is not connected with an individual tutor's rates. For lessons you receive from a tutor, you must pay the lesson fee shown on the tutor’s advert. Most tutors offer one free introductory lesson.

Payments for lessons can be made using whichever payment mechanism you and your tutor agree on: cash, PayPal, bank transfer etc.

Superprof is not involved in these transactions, and we do not take commission on these payments.

Please note: The South African Reserve Bank (SARB) requires that payments made to companies outside of South Africa’s Common Monetary Area be reported to them. It is mandatory for your identity number to be collected when you request an international payment, so that the information can be provided to SARB. Since Superprof's head office is in France, this information must be provided when you make a payment to us.
