About Anna
As an experienced drummer/pianist/vibraphonist and dedicated music tutor, I offer personalized lessons for students of all levels, focusing on vibraphone, improvisation, and jazz theory. I have taught summer and college courses at the Berklee College of Music, of which I am a graduate! I have also studied at Juilliard and the New School. Whether you’re a beginner looking to understand the basics or an advanced player seeking to refine your technique, my approach is tailored to each student’s unique goals and learning style. My lessons emphasize developing strong foundational skills, including rhythm, harmony, and ear training, while encouraging creativity and confidence in improvisation.
I bring years of professional performance experience, having performed at prestigious events such as the Newport Jazz Festival and Juilliard Chamber Series. My lessons not only focus on instrumental techniques but also help students prepare for auditions, performances, and jam sessions. Whether you want to dive into jazz standards, learn to comp with other musicians, or explore advanced improvisational concepts, I offer the tools and guidance to help you grow as a musician.

Vibraphone & Mallet Percussion: Master four-mallet independence, chord voicing, melodic phrasing, and contemporary improvisation techniques.
Jazz Piano & Composition: Explore functional harmony, reharmonization, ear training, and original compositional concepts from the ground up.
Classical Percussion & Technique: Refine hand position, stroke mechanics, orchestral snare drum, and keyboard percussion fundamentals.
