About Alex
In my early life, I was lucky enough to have had teachers, family members and friends who helped me to develop a strong interest in the social sciences. This interest drove me to do the hard work required to master these subjects, at world-leading colleges, at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. In my teaching, I aim to inspire students with the same underlying passion for the social sciences, which will give them the motivation to succeed in any social science field.

Based on my studies and teaching experiences, I have found that students learn best when they are in a continuous dialogue with the teacher. Students learn more when they are asked questions, rather than just listening to the teacher talking. My other main focus is helping students to develop the critical thinking skills that they will need to succeed in any social science subject. By helping secondary school students develop these thinking skills, I help them to succeed at college-level and beyond.
