About Samshritha

Hi! I am Samshritha Pochanapeddi, a sophmore biochemistry honors major at Texas A&M University from Katy, Texas! I am currently a member of TAMU American Medical Student Association, the TAMU Biochemistry and Genetics Society, a member of TAMU Health Occupation Students of America, and have made the dean's honor roll at TAMU. I have conducted my own research on the impact of stress on female health and am looking for more projects in the future as well furthering my previous research. I love to volunteer in my community routinely; it's a great way to make connections while making a noticeable change in my community. I am a singer as well; I have been singing classical Indian music for about 10 years now and was a part of my school's state-recognized choir. I love to read and make art in my free time, and regularly volunteer around my community. After being in school for a while, it's time for me to give back what I have learned to the up-and-coming scholars of this world as I have been tutoring K-12 students for the past few years. Due to my college schedule, I am only available for virtual, Zoom sessions right now. I would love to become a physician one day, so I would say science, specifically biology and chemistry, is one of my strongest suits and is a topic that I would be eager to tutor. Aside from science, I am a good tutor for math, English, and social studies at the elementary and middle school levels as I have experience in tutoring students in these subjects at these grade levels. In terms of AP classes, I can also tutor for most AP classes including but not limited to AP Psychology, AP Human Geography, AP Seminar, AP Chemistry, AP Biology, AP English Language, and AP US History. My strongest character strengths include curiosity, ingenuity, optimism, open-mindedness, empathy, flexibility, and determination. I have developed these skills while working with peers and fellow teammates years past and they have proved most successful when working with younger kids previously while teaching them math, science, and Scratch programming. These are the skills I see in my best teachers so I want to ensure I am able to show the same to the students that receive my help in their academic careers. I can't wait to help you or your child succeed!
