About Cameron
I focus on deep learning and making sure my students understand concepts on a deep, fundamental level. I strive for the "aha!" moments, it's exciting to see when my students fully get what we're talking about!
I really enjoy understanding my own students on a deep level. It helps me determine the best way to present and reinforce concepts while making learning fun and exciting for them as well.
Since I was young I was an avid and easy learner. I love learning new things and it excites me so much I try my hardest to share what I know with those around me, even if it means going the extra mile to really make sure they understand what we are talking about.
I attended National Youth Leadership Training (NYLT) when I was in the Boy Scouts. I achieved Eagle Scout and learned a lot about learning, teaching, and leading throughout my Scouting experience, particularly at this focused leadership training.

I like to get to know my students really well and understand their point of view as well as things they like. Chances are students are more likely to be interested in things they like and try to understand them better. Then I try to tie the lesson to what I know about them to help put the concepts in terms they enjoy and understand.
I build computers as a hobby. Recently I sold the first computer I built to a friend of mine. During the sale process I taught him everything I could about the machine, both to ensure he was getting a fair deal for his money and also to get him excited about learning about computers the same way I do. He and I still talk about computers all the time, and we both enjoy learning everything we can about them.

Really did a great job of meeting me where I was at with my knowledge. Struck a really good balance of not being patronizing while also being patient with me.
When is comes to chemistry Cameron is the guy to go to he helped titration calculation makes sense in about 15 mins. He is also a great proof reader and gives great tips for becoming a superb writer.
