About Rick

Hello, My drum instruction style is electric ! I have many resources at hand to make your lessons fun and effective. I offer half hour and hour sessions at my home studio and also at Drums Etc teaching studios in Neffsville, Pa. My studio setting is clean, bright, with professional gear and includes convenient parking. I feature my private students each year by having them play live at a local venue with my band! We call it “Drummers Lunch Jam” this is just one of the creative ways that I set myself apart from the rest. I perform quite regularly with two great bands. “3 Hour Tour” (yacht rock) and “Crackerboxx” (classic pop rock)

I created and managed a top rated drumming school in Lancaster. Including drum seminar features from many world class drummers, created and taught ROCK camps, ROCK SCHOOL clubs and inspired many local drum teachers careers.

I have enjoyed a long professionally drumming career in Pa for over 40 years. I have above average experience playing popular music genres with live bands. Performing concerts, clubs and managing a drummers learning center in Lancaster. I have featured drum clinics, rock camp, student recitals and promoted drum learning in Lancaster for many years. I believe that learning a variety of musical styles along with traditional skill sets is key to great drumming. The desire to practice these elements will determine your success.

About the lesson

The first step is to explain the the drumming learning process, find out together what skills you may already have, find out your goals and design a clear path to drumming success !

I work with young students beginning at least 7 years old. I also teach teenagers and retired adults. Both men and woman.

Try to make sure they have great communication skills. Are able to convey their ideas to you the way YOU like.

I love music festivals, theater, concerts of any kind. I you tube world class drummers regularly and I continue to learn and hope to keep learning for the rest of my life.
