About Pratyusha

Hello! I'm a dedicated and experienced math tutor specializing in Pre-Algebra, Algebra I, Algebra II, and Precalculus for students in Grades 6 to 11. With a strong academic background in Computer Science and several years of tutoring experience, I bring both subject expertise and a passion for teaching to every session. My teaching style is patient, supportive, and concept-driven. I focus on helping students truly understand the "why" behind the math—not just how to get the answer. Whether your goal is to improve grades, prepare for exams, or build long-term confidence in math, I tailor each lesson to meet your unique needs. I’ve worked with a wide range of learners—from those who struggle with math anxiety to high-achieving students looking to get ahead. My students appreciate my step-by-step explanations, encouraging approach, and ability to make even challenging topics clear and manageable. You can count on me for professionalism, consistency, and genuine care for your success. If you're looking for a math tutor who is as committed to your growth as you are, I’d love to work with you!

About the lesson

I use a step-by-step, concept-first approach that breaks down complex topics into manageable chunks.

I emphasize on:

1. Building strong foundational understanding before moving to advanced applications

2. Connecting math to real-life examples to make abstract concepts relatable

3. Interactive problem-solving, rather than passive instruction

4. Encouraging questions to promote critical thinking and curiosity

5. Adaptability — I tailor my pace and explanations to suit each student’s learning style

For online sessions, I use screen sharing and whiteboards(like Ziteboard) to keep lessons engaging.
