About Youssef

• I am Youssef, a passionate drummer with 20 years of real-world playing experience who mastered the instrument entirely by ear.

• I work full-time as cabin crew with Etihad Airways, bringing absolute reliability, high professionalism, and clear communication to my lessons.

• I want to help adult hobbyists find a high-energy creative outlet and introduce children to the pure joy of making music.

• I want to prove that you do not need rigid sheet music to become an incredible, dynamic modern drummer.

About the lesson

1) Methodology & Approach:

I skip rigid, classical conservatory sheet music and teach you the most valuable skill a modern drummer can have:

- how to truly listen to a song, break down the rhythm, and play along with your favorite tracks instantly.

My classes focus heavily on step-by-step ear training, groove development, and dynamic fills.

Every lesson is fast-paced, highly practical, and completely tailored to your personal goals and favorite genres, whether that is rock, pop, or funk.

2) Typical Lesson Length:

Lessons are standardly 60 minutes long, which provides the perfect amount of time to warm up, master a new rhythmic pattern, and apply it directly to a real song.

However, lesson lengths can easily be adapted to 45 or 90 minutes depending on your endurance and goals.

3) My Qualifications & Experience:

I am a passionate drummer with 20 years of real-world playing experience, having mastered the instrument entirely by ear.

Professionally, I work full-time as cabin crew with Etihad Airways. This background ensures absolute reliability, high professionalism, clear communication, and unique scheduling flexibility to comfortably accommodate busy lifestyles.

4) Who the Lessons Are For:

My home lessons in Abu Dhabi welcome all skill levels—from absolute beginners who have never touched a drumstick to advanced players looking to refine their groove.

I work excellently with adult hobbyists looking for a high-energy creative outlet, as well as parents who want to introduce their children to the pure joy of rhythm.

I am equally comfortable teaching on electronic or acoustic drum kits.
