About Adrian

I am a drummer of over 10 years based in the Inner West. While I primarily play progressive rock music with my own bands I am adept at funk, pop and jazz drumming. While I am a believer in the importance of technique I believe the ultimate goal of technical proficiency should be to develop one's own creative toolkit.

About the lesson

Lessons are $35/half hour or $70/hour. Teaching involves a combination of technical studies, in order to build a strong and safe foundation, and learning grooves and songs, in order to help the student to develop their own style and to make music with other. Genre will largely be driven by student's own musical tastes.

Started drumming with Adrian a few weeks ago and could just about keep time. Now I'm tackling different metres and able to play a few tasty fills too! My last drum teacher turned me off playing, but Adrian has been super chill, easy to talk to and encouraging throughout. Couldn't recommend highly enough!

I went from merely keeping time to tackling odd metres and rhythms after only a few weeks of lessons. To some degree, my last drum teacher turned me off playing but Adrian has also been super chill and easy to talk to throughout.
