About Elli

As someone who is currently double majoring in Mathematics and Math Education, I am not only knowledgeable about math, but I am also well trained to teach it. I have experience lesson planning and teaching at the high school level, and spent a year learning from a highly experienced math teacher. In addition to my experience in a professional teaching environment, the fact that I am currently a student myself gives me the capacity to relate to the students I tutor. While I have mastered all of the subjects I offer, I still remember the topics that my classmates and I struggled with. My professional experience, degree pursuit, and student experience has equipped me with all of the tools necessary to provide students with a highly effective learning experience.

About the lesson

In my experience, I have learned that the most efficient learning happens through practice and asking questions, and I plan to embody that belief in my tutoring.
My lessons will include a short lesson about the topic. The lesson will then be followed by a variety of problem examples and solutions. These will be done by myself and the student. During this time, the student will be encouraged to ask questions and learn through mistakes.
I am prepared to tutor students needing help with Algebra, Pre-Calculus, and Calculus.
