About Nathan

I help singers of all ages, abilities and musical tastes grow in confidence, improve technique and enjoy using their voice. Whether you’re a complete beginner, returning to singing, or an experienced vocalist looking to refine your sound, you’re very welcome.

Our first session begins with a relaxed chat about your goals, followed by practical warm-ups and enjoyable exercises to explore your voice. Every lesson is tailored to you, pressure-free and designed to leave you feeling clearer, stronger and more confident.

Alongside teaching, I’m an active professional performer. Most recently, I performed with Bastille and appeared in Sir David Attenborough’s '100 Years of Planet Earth' BBC special at the Royal Albert Hall.

I have also worked with artists including Shingai Shoniwa (The Noisettes), Omar Lye-Fook, Anthony David and Chaka Khan, supported Anthony Hamilton, Keith Sweat and Ed Sheeran, and toured with Lemar.

Beyond one-to-one teaching, I’ve worked with Southbank Centre Youth Voices, led adult community choirs including ND Vocal Ensemble, hosted the annual free public singing event 'Sing in the Sun' at the Crossrail Rooftop Garden in Canary Wharf and delivered singing workshops in schools.

This blend of professional industry and teaching experience means I can help you grow as a singer in a way that is creative, practical and enjoyable.

About the lesson

My singing lessons are designed to help you build confidence, improve technique and enjoy using your voice without feeling judged or overwhelmed. Whether you’re a beginner, returning to singing, preparing for auditions, or wanting to level up your sound, lessons are tailored to you.

I offer online vocal coaching with over 10 years of teaching experience, specialising in Pop, RnB, Soul and contemporary styles.

I trained in Musical Theatre before completing a Bachelor of Arts in Music, and have worked with organisations including Southbank Centre, Music Masters, ARK Schools and Lewisham Music Service.

My teaching style is practical, encouraging and results-focused. We’ll improve your voice step by step while keeping sessions enjoyable and relaxed.

You’ll also receive vocal health tips and simple exercises to practise between lessons, so progress continues outside the session.

Typical lesson areas include:

• Breath control and releasing tension
• Posture and body awareness
• Vocal support and stamina
• Pitch, tone and resonance
• Range, agility and projection
• Confidence and performance skills
• Songs you love to sing

If you’d like to see if we’re a good fit, send me a message for a free 15-minute consultation.

Learning with Nathan has been an amazing experience. He has a fantastic voice and, even more importantly, a truly helping heart. Nathan has taught me practical skills—like belting with strength and control—that I can now use confidently in my own singing. He’s also very open to any song choice, always finding ways to adapt and guide me to discover and work through my personal “pain spots.” His teaching is both professional and encouraging, and I’d highly recommend Nathan to anyone looking to grow as a singer.
