About Douglas
Hey y’all! My name is Douglas Blatt, and I’m a professional drummer and UT Austin alum with a Bachelor’s degree in Jazz Drum Set Performance and over 15 years of drumming experience. I’ve performed internationally, toured with bands, and played major festivals including ACL. I’ve also won international drumming competitions in China, Korea, Japan, and Taiwan, and my drumming has been streamed over 10 million times on Spotify.
Beyond performing, I genuinely enjoy helping others learn and grow through music. I’m patient, supportive, and focused on creating a comfortable learning environment where students feel encouraged to ask questions, make progress, and enjoy the process. I’m based in Austin, Texas, and work with students in the North Austin, Pflugerville, Round Rock, and Cedar Park areas. My goal is to be a reliable and motivating guide for students of all ages and experience levels!
