I became interested in tutoring after volunteering at my local church in high school to teach elementary and middle school students suffering from mental illnesses. While tutoring for four years, I not only had the opportunity to cultivate my passion for learning but also to build a connection between my students and learning as I saw vast improvement in their scores and overall skills. This teaching opportunity has reawakened my passion for learning and strengthened my desire to tutor. My compassion for students that are struggling with any subject has motivated me to acquire enough knowledge in order to proficiently teach them. Not only will my lessons will be customized to the goals and needs of each student but will also building a strong foundation for their success in future subjects.
