About Troy
I have always enjoyed explaining concepts (especially involving math and science) to my peers. I earned my Bachelor's degree in Biology from The College of William and Mary and my Master's degree from Johns Hopkins University. I have been working for a gene therapy company outside of Boston, MA for about 3 years, where I design lab experiments involved in curing rare diseases.

I have been helping students of all ages through privates lessons and tutoring agencies for 5+ years now.
A typical session would be about 1 hour over Zoom video chat / screen sharing features / etc. to work through homework problems in preparation for quizzes and exams. My sessions are laid back in terms of expectations from you, so long as you are working through the problems and putting in effort. If you finish your work 10 minutes early, maybe we do a quick refresher in an online game format - we end the session on a high note while solidifying the concepts.

Rates dependent on subject level. For example, a 6th grader's parent may pay $25 or $50 for one or two sessions per week, but a Calculus student may pay $40 or $80 for those same two hours.
