About Jay

Hi! My name is Jay, and I’m someone who truly believes that learning should feel fun, clear, and confidence-boosting. I’ve always enjoyed Math and Science, and after achieving strong results and receiving multiple academic awards, I realized that what I enjoy most is helping others understand things that once felt difficult. I want to teach because I know how confusing these subjects can seem at first — and I love being the person who makes them finally click. I’m patient, friendly, and I care about my students’ progress, not just their marks. My goal is to help you feel proud of yourself, build strong foundations, and enjoy learning every step of the way

About the lesson

I love making Maths and Science fun, simple, and exciting for students. I have received multiple academic awards from my school this year, achieved an ATAR of 90+, and earned strong results in Mathematical Methods, Specialist Mathematics, Chemistry, and Biology. This means I not only enjoy these subjects but truly understand how to explain them clearly. I believe every student can succeed with the right guidance, so I teach step by step, using easy examples and fun ways to learn. I’m patient, friendly, and always happy to answer questions. My goal is to help students feel confident, curious, and proud of their progress while building strong foundations in Maths and Science. The lesson can be adjusted depending on what the student is really after and what they really want to achieve from 1 on 1 tutoring lessons. I am happy to adjust the timing normally 1-2 hours depending on the needs.
