About Sheeva

I am a freelance science writer by trade, and I have worked on writing high school science curricula in biology and chemistry, and also currently lecture about science communication at undergraduate and graduate levels. My job as a writer involves explaining complex science and math to people who are not experts. I bring these same principles to my work as a tutor, informed by the latest advancements in education research and neuroscience (fields in which I have worked as a science writer).

About the lesson

My teaching method is highly interactive and involves student participation and engagement to create the best learning outcomes. I grew up helping my friends better understand mathematics and, as a science writer, have developed science curricula for online learning courses.

Perfect! She has been very easy to work with she is really accommodating. As well as amazing credentials. I really was shocked to see someone with a degree from MIT and graduate degree from Georgetown on this website much less tutoring my son!

Sheeva is a great writing tutor! She has helped me develop my scientific writing skills, and has always been super understanding and kind. I was very self conscious about the quality of my scientific writing before working with her, but she created a safe space for me to develop my skills while still giving me directions about how to improve.
