About Paul

I have been described by others as someone that was "born to teach." I love it and no matter what I'm doing in my life, there is always an aspect of it that is involved with teaching. When I worked in the television industry in New York City, I also volunteered teaching English in the evenings to working adults. During my time teaching high school English in South Korea, I also tutored kids and adults. While I was an English Teacher at an American high school, I also coached sports, won the teacher of the year award, and was the vice-president of the teachers association. Throughout my years working in Saudi Arabia, I instructed adults in English and Math, coached my own dance group and sports club. Currently, I'm working in IT/Marketing/Sales and Training back in America, but I also volunteer teaching English with a local church. I'm a positive person that wants to help you improve in any way that I can - it's what I was born to do.

About the lesson

Up beat, positive, supportive, student focused, sessions are what you can expect with Paul. Whether you're practicing your English conversation skills , learning English from scratch, or discussing a specialty / specific learning topic with Paul, he'll be sure to keep you engaged.
He will focus his lessons on your specific learning needs, but you can expect lots of questions and activities.
Paul has instructed beginner English all the way to Business English. He has worked in the classroom as an English Communication Arts teacher at an American High School where he was the "Teacher of the Year" award winner, and he has also taught English and Math in South Korea and Saudi Arabia to high schoolers, college aged students and professional adults.
With his degree in Film & Video, Paul has also worked in the tv and film industry and taught learners working in the field of entertainment.
Paul's diverse background also includes coaching and managing. He's coached American football and managed language programs at the college level.

Perfect! Best experience. Paul is really thoughtfully approaching the lessons, finding ways how to give our son best possible learning experience. And the fact that our son Jachym is looking forward to next lessons proves that it works. The progress can be seen even after only a few lessons.

Jachym did a fantastic job during our first English lesson! He was engaged and participated well throughout the session. While he needs to work on building his speaking confidence and expanding his vocabulary, he demonstrated solid reading skills, which was great to see. As we continue, we’ll focus on helping him become more comfortable speaking English and improving his vocabulary. I’m excited about his potential for progress with consistent practice!

Paul was also our most popular teacher. Some students would drive 20 minutes, just to be in his class.
