About Holly

Vocal Coach | Singer | Pianist – Derby & Online

Hi, I’m Holly
I’m a vocal coach, singer and pianist based in Derby, offering 1-to-1 vocal lessons for children, teens and adults, both in person and online.

My lessons focus on helping you sing with confidence, control and ease, while building healthy technique that supports your voice long-term. Whether you’re singing for fun, preparing for exams, or performing on stage, I’ll help you feel more secure and proud of your voice.

I trained through all Rockschool Singing Grades up to Grade 8 (Distinction) and have completed the BAST Vocal Coach Course. I also studied music at university, where my research focused on vocal technique, posture, tension and mindfulness for singers, all of which strongly influence range, tone and vocal freedom.

Alongside teaching, I work as a professional performer in weddings and live events, so I understand both the technical and performance demands of singing.

I’ve worked with children, teens, adults and learners with additional needs, and I adapt my teaching style to help every student feel comfortable and capable.

I aim to create a safe, encouraging space where mistakes are part of learning and progress feels achievable.

Your first lesson

In your first lesson we’ll discuss your goals, assess your voice gently, and start working on technique and a song that suits you. You’ll leave with clear feedback, exercises to practise, and a better understanding of your voice.

By the end of our lessons, my aim is for you to feel more comfortable in your body, stronger in your technique, and more connected to the emotion behind your singing.
