About Sylvie
While I don’t have formal teaching experience, my background in music, performance, and vocal training has given me a deep understanding of voice technique and development. I hold a BA in Popular Music from Goldsmiths, University of London, where I specialized in vocal performance and training. Throughout my career, I’ve worked extensively as a singer and performer, both as a solo artist and in bands, giving me firsthand experience in live performance, vocal endurance, and stylistic versatility. Additionally, my acting background has provided me with a strong foundation in breath control, projection, and vocal techniques that are essential for both singers and performers. I’ve also had years of private vocal coaching, where I learned various methodologies to strengthen, maintain, and develop vocal ability. Beyond my own training, I have experience working with small children in creative settings, which has helped me develop a patient and encouraging teaching approach. My goal as a vocal coach is to help students build confidence, improve technique, and develop a sustainable, healthy singing voice tailored to their unique style.
