About Delilah
My love for singing began in childhood, inspired by the emotional and expressive potential of the human voice. This passion led me to earn a B.Mus in Vocal Arts, providing technical training and performance experience. Over 9 years, I have taught singers at all levels, helping them develop technique, confidence, and a unique artistic voice. My teaching style emphasises patience, clarity, and encouragement, creating a safe and motivating environment for exploration and growth. I tailor lessons to each student’s needs, combining technical instruction, repertoire, and performance practice. I believe mistakes are valuable opportunities for growth and create lessons that balance challenge with support. My focus is on helping learners develop independence, expressive capability, and confidence while enjoying the journey of learning. Celebrating progress, fostering curiosity, and building personal voice are key priorities in my approach. Beyond teaching, I actively engage with vocal research, performance studies, and diverse musical genres to stay current and inspired. This allows me to bring fresh perspectives and practical insights to lessons. Teaching singing is incredibly fulfilling because I witness learners grow in skill, expressiveness, and self-confidence. Helping students embrace their voice and discover their musical potential is the most rewarding part of my work.

Singing lessons start with developing proper posture, breath support, and vocal placement. Beginners focus on pitch accuracy, tone clarity, vowel shaping, and comfortable breathing techniques. I create a supportive environment where learners feel safe experimenting and learning at their own pace. Exercises are structured to build foundational skill while encouraging creative exploration. Through repetition, patient guidance, and personalised feedback, students gain both technical confidence and comfort in using their voice expressively. Intermediate students work on tone development, dynamic control, stylistic versatility, and interpretive nuance. They learn to manage breath efficiently, refine phrasing, and express emotion authentically through songs. Lessons integrate technique, repertoire practice, and performance exercises to ensure a well-rounded vocal development. Emphasis is placed on connecting technical skills to artistic expression, helping learners build confidence and independence while fostering a personal vocal style. Advanced students focus on performance readiness, emotional depth, and artistry. They develop advanced breath techniques, tonal refinement, musical interpretation, and stage presence. Students are guided to connect fully with lyrics, manage challenging passages, and build self-assurance in performance. Lessons cultivate confidence, expressive freedom, and musical identity. My goal is to help each singer embrace their voice, express themselves fully, and enjoy the transformative power of music.
