About Mish
I'm currently studying Physics at the University of Surrey and have a genuine passion for mathematics, physics, and learning.
My own educational journey wasn't always straightforward. During my GCSEs, I realised that simply attending lessons wasn't enough—I hadn't yet developed an effective way to study or truly understand the material. That experience motivated me to rethink how I learnt.
When I went on to study my A-levels, I took far greater responsibility for my own learning. I developed a structured approach based on understanding concepts from first principles, active recall, repetition, and consistent problem-solving. By improving the way I studied, I achieved results I was proud of and earned my place to study physics at university.
That experience shaped the way I teach today. My aim is not only to help students achieve better grades, but also to help them become confident, independent learners. I want every student to understand why a method works, build confidence in their own ability, and develop study habits that will continue to benefit them long after our lessons have finished.

My lessons are built around developing a genuine understanding of mathematics and physics, rather than simply memorising formulae or methods.
I believe the best way to learn is by breaking complex topics down into their simplest building blocks. Once those fundamental ideas are understood, we gradually combine them step by step until more challenging problems become logical and approachable.
To help knowledge stick, I use active recall, repetition, and regular problem-solving. Rather than just watching someone solve questions, students are encouraged to think independently, explain their reasoning, and apply what they have learnt in different situations. This builds confidence and long-term understanding.
I also believe patience and clear communication are essential. Every student learns differently, so I take the time to identify exactly where a misunderstanding begins and adapt my explanations accordingly. My goal is to create an environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and learning from mistakes.
Beyond the lesson itself, I help students develop effective study habits and revision techniques. Improving the way a student studies can often have just as much impact as the content we cover, helping them become more confident, independent learners both inside and outside the classroom.
