I am a student at The University of Leeds, studying linguistics and philosophy. I am also a self- employed tutor at Wiseowls Learning where I have been teaching maths and English to primary and secondary school students for the last four years. I also teach both subjects at GCSE level and have really helped all my students to develop in these areas.
I adapt my lesson plans to the needs of the student by accepting requests of the topics they want to cover first and then use the rest of the lesson to cover other topic areas.
I am young and have a fun teaching style so students always get along well with me and I can relate to them well as I was doing my own GCSE's not so long ago!
I have had a lot of teaching experience. I have been a self-employed tutor at Wiseowls Learning for the past four years where I have taught English and Maths to primary school, secondary school and GCSE level students. I have had children who I have taught in the past come back to me to get help for their next set of exams. Many of the reviews of the students I have taught can be found on the Wiseowls Facebook page.
I have an amazing pass rate of primary students taking the 11+ exam and all the GCSE students I have taught have achieved the results they wanted and passed their GCSE's.
I am a motivated and hard-working individual who achieved a 2:1 in my first and second years of university and am on track for the same again this year. I have had a fair amount of work experience in the past and feel that this has allowed me to adopt, as well as develop, qualities such as good communication and social skills which I believe I can use effectively for work in the future.
