About Ethan
Throughout my time in Secondary School, I have volunteered for 2 years to teach refugees in Malaysia. This program was carried out for an hour each week where the volunteers would design lessons (tailored to around 15 students) to educate them on basic Maths and English.
Moving in to University life I continued to take part in volunteering, but this time under Action Tutoring, where I was tasked to educate underprivileged and weaker students in IGCSE Maths. Contrary to the previous experience, tutoring this time around involved a significantly smaller group (2 students to a teacher).

An enthusiastic student currently pursuing Mathematics and Economics in the London School of Economics who is looking to educate students ranging from Primary School level up to A levels. I believe that the 'eureka moment' you get when you finally solve a Maths problem after struggling through it is second to none and I wish you too can say the same by the end of it. Apart from assisting and guiding you through your work, I hope I can convey the fun and applications of Mathematics.
If I were to sum up my teaching style in two words, it would be stimulating and interactive. Interactive through the use of a variety of examples (whether it be hypothetical ones or applicable real world examples) and stimulating by covering more interesting statements or proofs that may not be in the scope of the course. Additionally I will provide mathematical brain teasers at the end of the session to promote the use of creative thinking and logic- the essence of Mathematics.
