About Ana
Hi! I'm Ana, and I recently graduated from the University of Georgia with my Master's in Accounting after earning my bachelor's degree in accounting there as well. I have passed all four CPA exams and have over two years of tutoring experience working with students across a variety of subjects and skill levels.
I tutor math through Calculus BC, accounting, finance, and economics. Whether you're trying to raise your grade, prepare for an important exam, or simply gain a better understanding of the material, I'm here to help.
My goal is to create a supportive, encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes. I believe that with the right explanation and approach, every student can succeed. I look forward to helping you build confidence and achieve your academic goals!

My approach is centered on understanding how each student thinks. After two years of tutoring, I've found that students rarely struggle because they "aren't good" at a subject—they usually have one or two underlying concepts that haven't fully clicked. My first priority is identifying exactly where that disconnect is, then explaining the material in a way that makes sense to that individual student.
Every lesson is tailored to the student's needs. We typically begin by reviewing previous material or working through any questions, then focus on new concepts using guided examples before practicing together until the student feels confident solving problems independently. I encourage students to ask questions throughout the lesson, because understanding the "why" behind a concept is just as important as getting the right answer.
I tutor students in math (through Calculus BC), accounting (including CPA exam prep), finance, and economics at the middle school, high school, and college levels. Whether you're preparing for an exam, working through homework, or trying to build a stronger foundation, my goal is to help you gain confidence and become an independent problem solver.
