About Arash
I have undergraduate degrees in Statistics, a Masters degree with first class honors in Mathematical Statistics and a PhD in Statistics.
I am available to tutor statistics, mathematics, and computing. See the list of papers at the bottom of the page. I am also happy to tutor/consult for research and Masters' dissertations.
I am happy to tutor at your home or on campus, whatever is convenient for both parties. My rates are 15-35 pound per hour depending on the subject, whether it is regular tutoring sessions and whether I need to travel.

I have over 15 years experience in teaching, teaching assistance and administration in several universities and private institutes. Therefore, I am confident that my experience and skills in the academic field would be an asset to students’ learning and development.
Through these years of my teaching experience in statistics and mathematics, I have found that the method of facilitating rather than dictating to be a highly beneficial style of teaching. In general, I have tried to motivate students by ascertaining their strengths and abilities and thus discovering what truly inspires them. Moreover, I have learned that if students construct their own learning experiences they will not only retain information longer, but they will also become more confident in their abilities. Usually, students are afraid of mathematics and statistics. To solve this problem, as a statistics and mathematics tutor I usually use environmental/tangible examples rather than artificial/abstract examples. Furthermore, I have been teaching statistics and mathematics to science, engineering and business students, so I can identify the concerns of most students.
