About Kelisha
I have been teaching and tutoring for over 12 years. I believe in keeping an open line of communication, and will often give advice on assignments outside of tutoring sessions. The important thing is that you understand the work given to you, and that I provide the tools needed and show you how to use them.
I will be available when you need me, and you can count on me to guide you if you can't figure out the answer.

My Math lessons are interactive, individualized, thought-provoking, and just plain fun.
A typical lesson plan may consist of introducing a new concept or reviewing a concept, an interactive activity to practice the concept, and finally a game to apply the concept. Lessons are not lectures and I won't read information out to you. These sessions are for and about you and how you can best retain the information.
So, why am I different from other tutors? I create many of my own activities and cater them to the specific needs of my students. I understand the importance of individualized instruction and having goals to meet along the way.
I have accounts with at least half a dozen platforms that help keep students engaged, excited, and their brains ready for more knowledge. The 1st session is always used to determine a starting point (establish a baseline) upon which we can build. A goal will be set and we will celebrate milestones along the way.
Over 80% of my students improved their grades at least by 2 letter grades (e.g.,from "C" to "A"). I can't make any promises you will jump 2 letter grades, but I can promise I will put in every effort to see that you do.
