About Andreea
As a student consultant for 180 Degrees Consulting, I developed strategies for Al Sudaniya Mentoring which is a non-profit organization that aims to connect accomplished female Sudanese mentors with Sudanese girls from Khartoum to empower them. In my role as a political researcher at Institute for Islamic Strategic Affairs, I carried out comprehensive research on China’s desire for regional hegemony along with Russia’s desire for trade and regional security. Being the Vice President of KCL Diplomacy Society offered me the opportunity of networking. Also, I worked closely with a team of six, meeting regularly to plan fantastic events.
Furthermore, I participated in the International Relations Career Challenge, a short-term extracurricular course where I worked in a team of five on project management about Women’s Empowerment in Entrepreneurship in Turkey. As a Politics student, I expanded my analytical and research skills through the research projects written, advanced spreadsheet modeling in Excel and engaging with data. I opted to take modules like Statistics, Game Theory, which improved my analytical thinking, and modules such as Foreign Policy Analysis, Issues in International Politics, that enhanced my ability to understand common features and factors that shape the world.

Coming to study in London was the best decision I have ever made because it enabled me to discover parts of myself that I did not know existed. I was by myself in a country that I have never been to before and this allowed me to explore my creativity. To study politics in a moment when history is being written is fascinating. I want to be part of the change, being able to put my ideas into practice. What I eagerly want to do at some point is to start up a charity organization that will work together with UNICEF in giving a chance to each child to design its own future.
