About Katie

I served as the secretary of a tutoring non-profit at my local library, where I developed a deep passion for supporting students academically. Outside of academics, I love playing volleyball and staying active!

As an upcoming sophomore at UIUC, I’m currently on the executive board for both a service-focused pre-health fraternity and a pre-health registered student organization. I’m also involved in a mechanical-biological engineering research lab, where I work with cancer-affected fibroblast cells and help study ways to manipulate the cancer microenvironment. In addition, I volunteer at the hospital, gaining hands-on experience with patient care, and I’m currently working toward earning my EMT license.
