About Sheliemae

With a minor in Math Education from UCSD and 15+ years of teaching experience, I bring knowledge, patience, and a personalized approach to every lesson. I work with students from Pre-K through college and focus on making math clear, approachable, and confidence-building. My goal is to help every student understand the material, improve their skills, and feel confident tackling math independently.

About the lesson

I believe every student can learn math when it is explained in a way that makes sense to them! I adapt my teaching style to each student's level, learning style, & goals.

My approach:
- Focus on understanding rather than memorization
- Break challenging concepts into manageable steps
- Clear explanations & examples
- Ask questions to help students develop problem-solving skills.
