About Antony
Hello, I’m Antony.
I am currently studying Computer Science at University College London (UCL), where mathematics forms a core part of my degree. My academic background has given me a strong foundation in logical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical reasoning — skills that are essential for success in mathematics at all levels.
Throughout my education, I have consistently achieved high results in maths and related subjects. Studying Computer Science at a leading university requires advanced mathematical understanding, and I apply this discipline and clarity of thought directly to my tutoring.
As a tutor, I am patient, organised, and professional. I understand that many students struggle not because they lack ability, but because they have not been shown concepts clearly or methodically. My goal is to make maths feel structured and manageable, rather than overwhelming.
I work with KS3, GCSE, and A-Level students, adapting my approach depending on age and ability. Whether a student is aiming to build confidence, improve grades, or achieve top marks, I provide clear explanations, consistent support, and constructive feedback.
I take tutoring seriously and prepare lessons carefully to ensure steady progress. Students can expect reliability, punctuality, and a focused learning environment.
My aim is not only to help students improve their results, but to develop their confidence and independence in mathematics.

I am currently studying Computer Science at University College London (UCL), where logical thinking, mathematical reasoning, and problem-solving are central to my degree. Mathematics is not just a subject I teach — it is something I use and apply every day in my studies.
My lessons are structured, focused, and tailored to each student’s level and goals. I teach students at KS3, GCSE, and A-Level, adapting the pace and depth depending on their confidence and academic targets.
My approach is based on three key principles:
1. Understanding before memorisation
I ensure students understand why a method works, not just how to apply it. This builds long-term confidence and prevents common exam mistakes.
2. Active problem solving
Lessons are interactive. Students work through exam-style questions with guided support, gradually building independence.
3. Exam technique and precision
For GCSE and A-Level students, I focus heavily on exam structure, mark schemes, and clear mathematical communication. Small improvements in technique often lead to significant grade increases.
For younger students (KS3), I prioritise building strong foundations, improving numerical fluency, and developing logical reasoning skills.
A typical lesson lasts 60 minutes, although longer sessions can be arranged for exam preparation.
Each lesson generally includes:
• A short recap of previous material
• Introduction or clarification of a key concept
• Guided practice questions
• Independent exam-style problems
• Targeted feedback and next steps
Students receive clear explanations, structured practice, and honest feedback in a calm, supportive environment.
I teach:
• KS3 students building strong foundations
• GCSE students aiming for grades 7–9
• A-Level students seeking deeper conceptual understanding
• Students who lack confidence and need structured guidance
Whether a student is struggling and needs clarity, or aiming for top grades and refinement, I adapt my approach accordingly.
My goal is not just short-term improvement, but lasting confidence and independence in mathematics.
