About Myreon
My name is pronounced how it is spelled but without the “E” in the pronunciation. Although I was not born in the state of Georgia, I attended grades 3-12 in Georgia, I was in the gifted program, and took several AP classes; therefore, I’m very familiar with how the Georgia public education system is structured. After high school, I attended the University of Rochester while also working at a State Farm agent’s office, and went on leave of absence due to the pandemic. I founded a nonprofit called, Power of Millennials, with my family that has served thousands of children since our formation in 2019. We have received praise from many of the people that we serve as well as the people who witness the work that we do in our communities; therefore, I decided to continue my focus on the mission we aim to accomplish. After a few key projects we have planned for Metro Atlanta, NYC, and Accra, Ghana, I plan to return to school, and will finish the pursuit of my Bachelor of Arts degree in History.

I am a college student that attended the University of Rochester, and went on leave of absence due to the pandemic. I founded a nonprofit called, Power of Millennials, with my family that has served thousands of children since our formation in 2019. Working with children has helped me realize that every child requires a different approach. Some students need a teacher that will guide them as much as possible and assist the student in various ways such as helping the student maintain deadlines so they don’t fall behind, going over the lesson in greater detail, explaining something that you may have already covered, etc. Other students may not require the same level of attention and care, but that doesn’t mean they don’t need us as teachers to lead them and show them how to solve problems or answer questions using the best method possible. This is why my tutoring approach varies with each child that I help, and I individualize my lesson plans to suit a specific child and their needs. No two people learn the same way, so as a tutor it is my responsibility to adapt so I can help my students triumph and fully understand what they are learning.
