About Riaan
I am a mathematics tutor with over 7 years of experience and an MSc in Mathematical Finance. I specialize in higher mathematics courses. My approach combines intuition and rigor.
I teach group theory by relating abstract axioms to symmetry operations and permutations. Ring theory is developed through polynomials and algebraic number structures. Topology is presented using conceptual models of continuity and neighborhoods. Students discuss ideas first, then write formal proofs. I encourage careful reasoning and clear mathematical language. Many of my students are university learners pursuing pure mathematics.
